About the Event
Hosted by the Téa Bayonne Choates Foundation in partnership with Access Granted Now, the Girl, LIVE! Empowerment Conference & Gala is a 3-day restorative experience designed for girls in foster care, domestic violence survivors, and trauma-impacted youth seeking hope, safety, and belonging.
This year’s theme, “From Ashes to Radiance: Her Story, His Glory,” is inspired by Isaiah 61:3, a promise of beauty rising from devastation. This promise reflects the legacy of
Téa Bayonne Choates, a vibrant 19-year-old advocate who was tragically murdered by her fiancé after courageously choosing to leave an abusive relationship. Just months before her death, Téa had dedicated herself to helping foster girls and survivors of trafficking through her mother’s organization, Access Granted Now. This event continues the mission she never got to complete.

awards honoring community agencies and leaders that provide unwavering support to
at-risk girls and domestic violence survivors. These partners are essential to creating the safe, healing spaces our youth deserve.
